The Help is expected to be a big winner at tonight’s Academy Awards ceremony, but MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry feels the film misses the mark when it comes to accurately portraying the lives of 1960s-era domestic workers. Check out a segment from her talk show, where she dissects the flaws of the movie which Harris-Perry says “erases and then rewrites a rich and robust history in which black women never needed anyone to speak for them.”
